On July 31 (local time), US broadcaster CNN and other media outlets reported that the "360 Big Pendulum" ride at an amusement park in Saudi Arabia fell from the air, injuring at least 23 passengers.

In a video posted on social media, the ride's circular rotating section carrying passengers is seen colliding with an opposite structure while spinning in midair, then plunging several meters to the ground. As a result of this accident, at least 23 people were injured, and at least 3 of them, including passengers who were thrown out of the ride, reportedly sustained serious injuries.

Saudi state media Arab News reported that the accident occurred on July 30 at an amusement park in the Al Hada area of Taif, a city near Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, the administrative head of Taif, ordered the immediate closure of the amusement park during the accident investigation period.
