'Sunset Rail Bike' Experience Begins
Open Until 8:00 p.m. on Weekends and Public Holidays
Gimhae Nakdonggang Rail Park, operated by the Gimhae Culture and Tourism Foundation in Gyeongnam, will launch its 'Sunset Rail Bike' experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the Nakdong River sunset, starting from August 1.
On July 31, Nakdonggang Rail Park announced that it would extend its operating hours until 8:00 p.m., so that tourists can leisurely enjoy the rail bike while taking in the sunset over the Nakdong River.
The Nakdong River area in Saengnim-myeon, where the rail bikes run, is renowned for the harmony of the railway bridge and the sunset, earning it the nickname 'Sunset of Kings.' It is considered one of Gimhae's top tourist attractions.
With this extended operation, visitors will be able to use both the rail bikes and the wine cave until 8:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays only.
The extended hours may change in the future depending on changes in sunset times.
In conjunction with the launch of the Sunset Rail Bike, the foundation will also open 'Wine & D-Cave' on the first day of August.
The existing wine cave has been reimagined with advanced technology and media art, and will feature photo zones as well as interactive content that responds to movement.
Additionally, 34 electric bikes have been introduced, and user facilities have been improved, including the expansion of boarding platforms and the installation of new landscape lighting.
Choi Jaejun, Head of the Tourism Business Division, stated, "The Masari area, where Nakdonggang Rail Park is located, is the nation's premier sunset spot, where the vast Nakdong River, railway bridge, and crimson sky come together." He added, "We hope you will create diverse memories with the newly renovated wine cave featuring media art content."
