Uiseong County Council Delivers Recovery Support and Donations to Hapcheon County Hit by Heavy Rainfall The Uiseong County Council in Gyeongbuk worked hard volunteering to support flood recovery efforts in Hapcheon County and also delivered donations for damage restoration.

On July 30, Chairman Choi Hunsik, along with council members and staff, visited the affected areas in Hapcheon County to assist with recovery efforts, including cleaning flooded homes and removing debris. On the same day, the Uiseong County Council also delivered a donation of 1 million won to support the disaster victims and comfort the affected residents.

This support was arranged to express gratitude for the assistance Uiseong County received from across the country during the large-scale wildfire last spring. The Uiseong County Council stated that they are actively participating in the recovery activities with the intention of "never forgetting the kindness received and making sure to repay it."

Chairman Choi Hunsik said, "Since our own Uiseong has experienced the pain of disasters, the desperation of the residents in the affected areas does not feel like someone else's problem. I am deeply grateful to the council members and staff for coming together in support. I sincerely hope that the damage will be restored as soon as possible and that the daily lives of the residents will return to normal."

The Uiseong County Council also expressed its intention to continue providing active support and cooperation to regions experiencing difficulties due to disasters and calamities in the future.
