Unprecedented Discounts on Beer and Pork Belly for Vacation Season
Pick-and-Mix Event for Bagged Ramen, Snacks, and More
Emart announced on August 1 that it will hold an all-out ultra-low price weekend event for two days starting August 2, covering fresh food, processed food, household goods, and home appliances.
Emart expects more customers to visit during the weekend, so it has increased the quantity of promotional items by up to twice as much as on weekdays. For domestic pork belly, the quantity is 30% higher than that of imported pork belly. For antibiotic-free whole chicken, which has been on a 40% discount promotion for six days starting July 29, more than twice the weekday quantity will be prepared for the weekend.
First, Emart will hold discount events on beer, ramen, and pork belly to mark the vacation season. Until August 13, customers can buy five cans of over 100 types of imported beer for 9,800 won, and ten cans for 18,000 won. In addition, nine cans of Cass (740ml) will be sold for 12,000 won with Shinsegae Point accumulation, and all non-alcoholic beers will be available as a buy-one-get-one-free promotion.
In addition, until August 3, the ‘Vacation Snack Pick & Mix’ event will be held, offering all bagged ramen (three packs for 9,900 won), all single cup ramen (five for 4,980 won), promotional snack items (five for 9,900 won), all biscuits (three for 9,900 won), and all gum (three for 9,900 won).
A pork belly event, a must-have vacation food, will also be held. For two days starting August 2, domestic pork belly and pork neck will be sold for 1,377 won per 100g with Shinsegae Point accumulation. In addition, camping items such as sunshades, tarps, chairs, and tables will be available at a 50% discount when purchasing two or more. On August 1, a tray of eggs (large, 30 eggs) will be sold for 5,980 won when paid in full with a promotional card.
There will also be a home appliance event. From August 1 to 3, customers who pay in full with a promotional card for large home appliances such as Samsung and LG air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and TVs will receive up to a 300,000 won discount. In addition, customers who pay in full with a promotional card for purchases of 3, 5, 7, 10, or 15 million won or more will receive additional Shinsegae gift certificates worth 100,000, 200,000, 300,000, 500,000, or 800,000 won, respectively.
In addition, the ‘Hello Summer Vacation Special’ will be offered. From August 1 to 3, popular toys such as robots, Lego, and dolls will be available at up to 80% off with Shinsegae Point accumulation, and over 40 types of water play items will be up to 80% off when paid in full with a promotional card. In response to increased demand for snacks, frozen water jelly, kids’ drinks, and other snacks will be available at a 50% discount when purchasing two or more.
