New Cheongju-Kitakyushu Service Set to Launch in September

Aero K Surpasses 370,000 Passengers on Cheongju-Narita Route

Aero K will celebrate the second anniversary of its Cheongju~Narita (Tokyo) route on August 3.

According to Aero K on July 31, this route began its first regular service on August 3, 2023, and has since transported approximately 370,000 passengers, growing into one of Aero K's main routes.

The Cheongju~Narita route started with one round-trip flight per day at its launch, and has now expanded to three round-trip flights daily.

This route was Aero K's first regular international service and is a flagship route based at Cheongju International Airport.

It has become a practical alternative for residents of the Chungcheong region, southern Gyeonggi, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang areas who find it difficult to use Incheon Airport due to location and cost concerns, thereby improving accessibility.

Tokyo, as a leading tourist city in Japan, makes this route a key contributor to Aero K reaching a cumulative total of 3 million passengers.

An Aero K representative stated, "With a variety of schedules, travelers can adjust their itineraries to fit their travel style, which has led to high satisfaction. We will continue to prioritize safety while offering reasonable prices and a diverse range of routes."

Meanwhile, Aero K plans to launch a Cheongju~Kobe non-scheduled service starting August 8, and will begin a new Cheongju~Kitakyushu route on September 30.

Additionally, the airline plans to add two more aircraft within the year and is working to expand its network to Weihai, Yantai, Okinawa, Nha Trang, Cebu, Macau, and other destinations.
