Daegu Urban Development Corporation (President Jung Myungseop) has actively promoted a heatwave response social contribution project to protect the health and safety of vulnerable groups in the community during the record-breaking heatwave.
On July 25, Daegu Urban Development Corporation delivered heatwave response supplies worth 5 million KRW to the Daegu Happiness Promotion Social Service Center. The donated items included portable fans, sun umbrellas, and cooling scarves. These supplies were provided to prevent heat-related illnesses among the elderly and people with disabilities, who are particularly vulnerable to the heat and use the facilities of the Daegu Happiness Promotion Center.
At Dongdaegu Station Plaza, several organizations including Daegu Urban Development Corporation are distributing bottled water with fans to citizens, carrying out volunteer activities to help them have a healthy summer.
On July 30, the corporation also participated in the "Healthy Summer Volunteer Activity for Jungbok" held at Dongdaegu Station Plaza. This event was a joint activity of the Corporate Volunteer Council and the Dalgubeol One Team, organized by the Daegu Volunteer Center. The Cheongaram Volunteer Group, affiliated with the corporation, distributed bottled water, fans, and other summer supplies to citizens, carrying out sharing activities to help overcome the heatwave.
In addition, the corporation donated 2 million KRW to the Daegu Volunteer Center to support a safe summer for residents of jjokbangchon, who are especially vulnerable to the heatwave.
Jung Myungseop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, stated, "Although it is a small help, I hope that our neighbors suffering from the heat can spend a healthy and safe summer," and added, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibility as a local public enterprise by consistently carrying out social contribution activities for the safety of citizens."
