Goyang Adds 8 New Thank-You Gifts to Hometown Love Donation Program

Expanding the Range of Thank-You Gifts
and Promoting the Local Economy

Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on July 31 that it has added six new items from newly participating companies and two items from existing suppliers as thank-you gifts for the Hometown Love Donation Program.

The newly added suppliers are Thechaeum Co., Ltd. and Gamjjokgachi Co., Ltd., bringing the total number of thank-you gift suppliers for the Goyang Hometown Love Donation Program to 11. The six newly added items include three types of nut gift sets, a Gawajibyeopssi doll, a Gawajibyeopssi handkerchief, and a Haengju apron.

In addition, popular existing suppliers have added the Goyang Haengju Hanwoo Beef Bone Soup Set and the Goyang Makgeolli Gift Set to the list of thank-you gifts for donors.

As a result, in 2025, the Goyang Hometown Love Donation Program will offer a total of 20 items and 31 varieties from 11 suppliers. These thank-you gifts can be viewed on the Hometown Love eum website.

A city official stated, "We will continue to discover and introduce unique local specialties to express our gratitude," and added, "We will steadily build a foundation to promote the local economy through the Hometown Love Donation Program."

Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program is a system that allows individuals to make direct donations to local governments. Donors receive tax deductions (full deduction for donations up to 100,000 won) and thank-you gifts (equivalent to 30% of the donation), while local governments use the funds for projects that improve residents' welfare.
