This event was organized to provide a comprehensive understanding of the integrated local finance system as well as the structure and procedures of main budget preparation. More than 200 participants, including accounting staff, subsidy managers, and project managers, attended, reflecting significant interest.
In particular, this training featured instructor Park Juhee from the Local Finance Operation Support Group, which operates the integrated local finance system. The training focused on key topics such as project structuring, medium-term fiscal planning, budget requests, fund management, gender-responsive budgeting, and performance planning, making it easier for participants to understand the workflow of budget preparation tasks.
Cho Daekeun, Director of Planning and Coordination, stated, "Until now, budget and accounting training has mainly focused on the execution process rather than preparation. However, reflecting the growing importance of the annual budget preparation operation guidelines, we have organized this training. Moving forward, we will establish a systematic process starting from the budget preparation stage, further enhancing the efficiency and transparency of budget management throughout the execution and settlement phases."
Meanwhile, prior to this main budget preparation training, Hanam City held a supplementary budget preparation training session in February to intensively improve budget preparation competencies. In August, the city also plans to provide additional training on the Local Subsidy Management System (Botam-e) to enhance the practical capabilities of local subsidy project managers and subsidy recipients.
