The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has produced legal training content on the theme of "Legal Responsibility in Schools and Protection of School Staff," which will be distributed starting August 1.
This content is based on one year of on-site legal support experience by the Legal Support Division for School Staff, which was newly established last year. It is structured around legal information and case studies that school staff can immediately apply in real-life situations.
Considering the busy work schedules of school staff, the Office produced the content as short videos. These will be made available on the Office's YouTube channel GO3 (https://www.youtube.com/@Go3EduNews) and on the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Southern Training Institute's microlearning training platform, thereby increasing accessibility.
The main topics include "Legal Disputes Encountered at School," which covers types of legal disputes and support measures, and "Protection of School Staff in Legal Disputes," which addresses support for cases involving infringement of educational activities and protection of staff in the event of criminal charges related to legitimate official duties.
Meanwhile, the microlearning training will be available at all times from August 2025 until February 2026.
An official from the Office stated, "We will continue to improve legal understanding among school staff so that they can focus on educational activities with peace of mind, and we will consistently create conditions that enable effective responses to unexpected legal disputes."
