Mobile Wedding Invitation Support Project for 40 Engaged Couples in Seo-gu, Daejeon
Mobile wedding invitations will be provided to help alleviate the financial burden on young people preparing for marriage.
Seo-gu District in Daejeon is launching a new project called 'Seo-gu in Mo(bile) Cheong(cheopjang)' to reduce wedding costs for young people and encourage their stable settlement in the region.
This project was selected for the 2025 Daejeon City Population Decline and Low Birth Rate Response Contest. Eligible applicants are engaged couples aged between 19 and 39 as of the application date, with at least one member of the couple required to have been registered as a resident of Seo-gu, Daejeon for more than three months.
Selected couples will receive a package of services necessary for creating a mobile wedding invitation, including hair and makeup, outfit rentals, and snap photography.
Starting from August 4, applications will be accepted to support 40 engaged couples. Interested couples can check the announcement on the Seo-gu District Office website or via the QR code on the poster, and then submit their application form by email.
Seo Cheolmo, the head of the district, stated, "Not only will this help reduce the financial burden on young people preparing for marriage, but it is also meaningful in that local landmarks can be featured on these special invitations. Seo-gu will continue to develop regionally connected policies for young engaged couples so that they can develop a sense of attachment and settle down in the area."
