The "Bedeul Science Career Camp" is Yuhan Corporation's flagship youth social contribution program, which has been operated since 2021 in collaboration with schools near its business sites for teenagers interested in the pharmaceutical and bio industries.

The program is conducted in partnership with high schools located near Yuhan Corporation's business sites in Seoul, Yongin, and Ochang, Chungbuk. It provides career exploration opportunities in the pharmaceutical and bio sectors through hybrid online and offline education, including researcher mentoring and online tours of the central research center.

On July 30, the Bedeul Science Career Camp was held at Yuhan Corporation's headquarters in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, with 100 students from Kyungmoon High School, Dongjak High School, and Soongui Girls' High School participating. The program was operated in cooperation with the Dongjak-gu Career and Job Experience Support Center, a professional career education institution.

Students watched research center tour videos through pre-camp online education and deepened their understanding of new drug development and pharmaceutical industry careers through researcher mentoring. At the headquarters, after a special lecture on the pharmaceutical and bio industries, students had the opportunity to foster creative problem-solving skills through an "Idea Contest to Alleviate Patient Suffering."

The program concluded with a visit to the Dr. Yu Ilhan Memorial Hall, where students reflected on Yuhan Corporation's founding spirit and philosophy of sharing.

Vice President Oh Sewoong said in his welcoming remarks, "I hope this will be a meaningful time for teenagers who will become the future leaders of the pharmaceutical and bio industries," adding, "I expect this camp to serve as a stepping stone for them to grow into K-pharmaceutical and bio talents."

Choi Jungwon, a first-year student at Soongui Girls' High School who participated in the program, shared her thoughts: "By experiencing the pharmaceutical industry and new drug development firsthand, which I had only encountered through textbooks or news articles, I was able to take a step closer to my dream of becoming a researcher."

Yuhan Corporation plans to continue operating the Bedeul Science Career Camp so that it can become a leading youth career exploration program in the promising future industries of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
