He added, "The city will encourage autonomous monitoring of harmful environments and make administrative efforts to support the smooth operation of projects such as the 'Youth Character Development Camp.'"

The Guri City Youth Guidance Committee Members, including those newly appointed on this day, are appointed by the heads of cities, counties, or districts in accordance with Article 27 of the Youth Basic Act. They play an important role in youth protection and guidance activities, such as monitoring and guiding harmful businesses for youth, conducting night patrols, and organizing street campaigns.

Meanwhile, any Guri citizen or person working at a business in Guri City may apply to join the Guri City Youth Guidance Committee if they meet at least one of the following conditions: possession of a youth guidance counselor certificate; possession of specialized knowledge in youth development; or being respected by local residents and having a good social reputation. Once appointed as a committee member, they carry out activities for the protection and sound development of youth.
