Mokpo Play Park to Officially Open on August 8

A sports-themed indoor theme park where both children and adults can enjoy together is opening in Mokpo, Jeonnam.

The city of Mokpo announced on July 31 that 'Mokpo Play Park', the first sports-themed indoor experience facility in Jeonnam, will officially open on August 8.

Mokpo Play Park is equipped with 14 experience facilities across 7 themes, including a vertical slide, design climbing wall, jumping tower, sky climbing, zipjack, sky trail, and trampoline. Its main advantage is that it is an indoor space where visitors can enjoy activities regardless of the weather.

The experiences are designed to stimulate physical strength and a spirit of challenge, regardless of age, and are expected to provide high satisfaction not only to family visitors but also to teenagers and adults.

The park will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will be closed every Monday. Admission fees are 12,000 won for children and 17,000 won for teenagers and adults. Mokpo residents can receive a 2,000 won discount. However, proof of residence such as an ID is required. Additional promotional discounts are available for actions such as writing a review or revisiting within three months.

For safety, those under 100 cm in height or over 100 kg in weight are restricted from using certain facilities. Some attractions require mandatory use of socks or athletic shoes.

A city official stated, "We hope Mokpo Play Park will become a special play and experience space that both local residents and tourists can enjoy," and added, "We will do our best to ensure it becomes a place where families and friends can create precious memories together."
