Busan Local Brands Collaborate
Special Limited Set for 5,000 Won Available Throughout August
The seafood craft burger brand "VIKEN HUS" has partnered with the domestic craft beer brand "Gorilla Brewing" to launch a new craft canned beer called "VIKING BEER."
From August 1 to August 31, the first 30 groups to visit the VIKEN HUS store near Busan Station each day will be able to enjoy the "1953 Burger + Viking Beer Set" for 5,000 won as part of a special promotional event.
During this period, customers can enjoy not only "VIKING BEER" but also a variety of Gorilla Brewing beers at special prices.
This collaboration was planned to provide a unique brand experience through the optimal pairing of seafood burgers and craft beer. It is a meeting between VIKEN HUS, which has rapidly expanded its fan base with its Viking concept, and Gorilla Brewing, which has led the domestic craft beer market with its creative style.
"VIKING BEER" is characterized by a refreshing taste that harmonizes citrus and tropical fruit aromas, a pleasant bitterness at the first sip, and a clean finish. In particular, the British owner brewmaster personally developed the recipe so that it pairs perfectly with Busan’s signature foods such as fish cake and seafood, achieving the best combination with VIKEN HUS’s signature menu item, the "Fish Cake Burger 1953 Burger."
The can design features a gorilla character dressed in Viking armor holding a 1953 Burger and fish cake against the backdrop of Gwangan Bridge. On the back of the can, recommended menu items from VIKEN HUS and three songs from the "Summer in Busan" playlist are included to maximize the emotional experience of enjoying a beer.
"VIKING BEER" is available at the VIKEN HUS Busan Station store, as well as at the Gorilla Brewing Haeundae and Beach locations. A representative from VIKEN HUS stated, "This collaboration was prepared to provide customers with a fresh experience through the best flavor combinations," and added, "We will continue to present differentiated content through collaborations with various brands."
Last year, VIKEN HUS attracted attention with the launch of the "1953 Burger" in collaboration with Samjin Eomuk. At that time, about 10,000 burgers were sold in about a month through a special event offering one burger for 1,953 won. Gorilla Brewing is a craft beer brand that focuses on using local agricultural products and sustainability, and is leading the way in spreading the global value of Busan craft beer.
