Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) is recruiting tenants for the 'Gwangju Station Area Youth Innovation Town Integrated Public Rental Housing' currently under construction in Yeok-dong, Gwangju City.
The housing being offered this time is 'job-linked support housing,' supplied to provide affordable public rental housing for employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and young entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to create jobs at SMEs and encourage long-term employment. The complex consists of 316 officetel units and is equipped with amenities such as an open library and a cinema room.
Eligibility for residency requires that applicants are members of households without home ownership and meet income and asset criteria, such as having a median income of 150% or less. In addition, applicants must meet job or status requirements, specifically being an SME employee and falling into one of the following categories: youth, newlyweds, single-parent families, or long-term employees.
The Gwangju Station Area Youth Innovation Town is a key district in the Gwangju Station area, consisting of two integrated public rental housing buildings and two knowledge industry center buildings. It is being developed as a mixed-use space where both work and residential life can be realized simultaneously.
In particular, it is located just a 5-minute walk from Gyeonggang Line Gyeonggi Gwangju Station, offering excellent accessibility to major metropolitan areas such as Pangyo (14 minutes), Gangnam (31 minutes), and Suseo (12 minutes, scheduled).
There are also plans under consideration for the Suseo-Gwangju Line and GTX-D Line, which are expected to further enhance the value of this triple station area. In addition, the area boasts an excellent residential environment with a well-developed metropolitan road network including the Seoul-Sejong Expressway, as well as abundant living infrastructure such as a general hospital, large supermarket, multiplex shopping mall, and Gwangju Sports Complex.
Applications for residency can be submitted online through the GH Housing Subscription Center from August 19 to August 22.
