The number of students who have benefited from educational talent donation programs, such as lectures at middle and high schools in Gyeonggi Province by research fellows from Gyeonggi Research Institute, the province's think tank, has surpassed 40,000.
On July 31, Gyeonggi Research Institute announced that since the launch of its educational talent donation program in 2016, the cumulative number of students who have attended lectures has reached 41,240 as of the end of July this year, with the program being held at more than 40 schools annually.
As a public policy research institution in Gyeonggi Province, Gyeonggi Research Institute has been fulfilling its social responsibility by encouraging voluntary participation from its Ph.D.-level research fellows in talent donation activities. Lectures have been conducted on a variety of topics, including disaster management, tourism, health, transportation, resident autonomy, and carbon neutrality.

Currently, Gyeonggi Research Institute is collaborating with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education to provide tailored lectures each year based on applications from individual schools. These lectures are utilized by schools as opportunities to provide future generations with diverse knowledge and information through club activities, career exploration, and special lectures on career paths.
A representative from Gyeonggi Research Institute stated, "We plan to apply for certification as an excellent educational donation institution in the future, establish cooperative systems with other organizations and regions, and continue to practice sustainable educational talent donation." The representative also added, "We are considering expanding the program beyond middle and high schools to include civic groups and local communities."
