Day1Company announced on July 31 that it has acquired the music content startup NOA.
NOA is a music content startup based on classical music, pioneering the field of film concerts and expanding its entertainment business. It operates the YouTube channel 'TOWMOO', which has about 800,000 subscribers, and has established its own orchestra, the 'NOA Orchestra', actively developing its performance business. Last year, its revenue reached 7.1 billion KRW.
Through this merger and acquisition (M&A), Day1Company aims to broaden its business spectrum to become a comprehensive content company, in addition to its existing education content-focused business structure, and to secure new growth engines.
In particular, the company plans to utilize this acquisition not only as a simple business expansion, but also as a strategic move for entering the global content market. By leveraging the characteristics of the music and classical genres?which have relatively low language, national, and cultural barriers?the company intends to strengthen the scalability and sustainability of its content, while also actively seeking opportunities to connect with its own education brands and commerce platforms.
After the acquisition, NOA will operate as an independent business division within Day1Company and plans to expand its business in various directions, including ▲expansion of its own IP ▲enhancement of content ▲artist management ▲entry into education and commerce businesses.
