Kolon Life Science Chungju Plant Certified as Women-Friendly Company

Promotion of Female Employment and Expansion of Self-Development Opportunities

Kolon Life Science's Chungju plant has been certified as a 'Women-Friendly Company' by the city of Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, and held its official plaque unveiling ceremony on July 30.

Kolon Life Science received this certification by achieving high marks in the evaluation of its efforts to create a 'gender-equal organizational culture' and establish 'work-family balance support systems.' The company was recognized for its various maternity protection policies, efforts to promote female employment, opportunities for self-development, implementation of flexible working arrangements, and organization of family-oriented in-house events.

As a follow-up measure to this certification, the city of Chungju provided Kolon Life Science with a budget to improve facilities for women. Kolon Life Science also invested additional funds of its own to complete the renovation of a women-only lounge, thereby establishing a more comfortable and pleasant working environment.

Meanwhile, Kolon Life Science's Chungju plant produces and supplies active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and pharmaceutical intermediates (PIs) for various original and generic drugs, including anti-inflammatory analgesics, allergy treatments, and hyperlipidemia treatments. Based on its accumulated production experience and reliability, the company continues to expand its cooperative relationships with domestic and international pharmaceutical companies.
