Woori Children’s Hospital, the only specialized hospital for essential pediatric and adolescent care designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, announced on the 30th that it has signed separate business agreements with the Guro-gu National and Public Daycare Center Association and the Private Daycare Center Association to promote the health and safety of children and adolescents.

This agreement was pursued to strengthen the cooperation system for the health and safety of children in the local community. Both parties have agreed to join efforts to promote the healthy growth and safety awareness of children through various means, including: ▲ career experience programs for children ▲ health and safety education ▲ provision of disease prevention information. The associations may request support from the hospital in areas such as education or safety, and Woori Children’s Hospital plans to actively cooperate by providing medical linkage, educational programs, materials, and personnel support through its Medical Cooperation Center.
Baek Junghyun, Director of Woori Children’s Hospital, stated, “It is very meaningful that Woori Children’s Hospital, which operates a 24/7, 365-day medical system, can work together with local daycare centers to protect children’s health,” adding, “We aim to help children feel more comfortable with the hospital through not only emergency medical linkage but also growth and development counseling, hospital experience programs, and safety education. We will continue to actively support the healthy and safe growth of children.”
Kim Youngmi, President of the National and Public Daycare Center Association, said, “We are very pleased to cooperate with Woori Children’s Hospital, a leading institution in the Seoul metropolitan area,” and added, “We will do our utmost to ensure that our children grow up healthy through ongoing close cooperation with Woori Children’s Hospital.”
Lee Hyeryeon, President of the Private Daycare Center Association, also commented, “It is reassuring to collaborate with a specialized hospital that operates 24/7, 365 days a year,” and continued, “This agreement is essential from the perspective of daycare centers, and we expect it will greatly contribute to creating a safe childcare environment and building trust with parents.”
Meanwhile, Woori Children’s Hospital is currently establishing a pediatric and adolescent care network through a business agreement with the Seoul 120 Dasan Call Foundation. With the agreement with the daycare center associations as a starting point, the hospital plans to expand its cooperation beyond Guro-gu to neighboring areas, aiming to achieve ‘zero pediatric care gaps’.
