Pyeongtaek City to Survey Operations of 494 Unmanned Food Retail Stores

This survey will target instant food manufacturing and processing businesses, as well as food vending machine businesses, which have reported operating unmanned stores such as meal kit shops and cafes. The main focus of the survey will be to check whether the stores are actually being operated in an unmanned format and whether other business compliance requirements are being met.

Separately, the city is conducting regular monthly inspections on 66 unmanned stores located within children's food safety protection zones.

A city official stated, "We will not only strengthen hygiene management of unmanned food retail stores, but also consider expanding the scope of the survey to include free business types," and urged, "Business operators managing unmanned stores must strictly comply with all guidelines."
