On the morning of July 30, the Three Major Special Prosecutors Comprehensive Response Special Committee (Three Major Special Prosecutors Special Committee) held its inaugural ceremony and the first general meeting at the National Assembly in Yeouido. Supreme Council member Jeon Hyunhee will serve as the general chairperson and also head the Kim Keonhee Special Prosecutor Task Force under the committee. The Insurrection Special Prosecutor Task Force and the Marine Corps Death Special Prosecutor Task Force will be led by Supreme Council member Kim Byungjoo, while the Reporting Center and the Whistleblower Protection Center will be headed by lawmaker Baek Hyeryeon. The special committee is composed of 45 Democratic Party lawmakers.

The committee will play a role in supporting the investigations of the three major special prosecutors at the party level. Chairperson Jeon stated, "We will respond to any actions that interfere with the special prosecutor investigations and provide indirect support for the investigations," adding, "If necessary, we will pursue responses at the National Assembly level through system or legal improvements." She further emphasized, "We will also actively respond to necessary measures such as extending the investigation periods."

The Reporting Center and the Whistleblower Protection Center will receive reports that may aid the special prosecutor investigations. Chairperson Jeon said, "We plan to identify courageous whistleblowers who are unable to come forward due to fear, verify their reports, and deliver them to the special prosecutor teams for reference in their investigations," and added, "If there are informants who know about the insurrection or government corruption, we hope they will report to the center without fear."

The Democratic Party emphasized that the committee's role is not political oppression but to uphold justice. Chairperson Jeon stated, "Political oppression is targeting specific individuals, fabricating nonexistent crimes, and making them out to be criminals," and continued, "Special prosecutor investigations pursue evidence and criminal charges to find the perpetrators, which is an act of upholding justice and restoring judicial order." She added, "The special committee will take the lead in responding to insurrectionist forces that obstruct the special prosecutor investigations."
