'Waterproof Pouch and Beach Bag'
Available for Purchase Starting in August
Gwangju City announced on July 30 that it will launch a 'Summer Vacation Package' featuring the unique characteristics of Gwangju, starting from August 1 to coincide with the summer holiday season.
This vacation package consists of a 'waterproof pouch' and a 'beach bag,' both designed to keep personal belongings safe during water activities. In particular, the package incorporates Gwangju's tourism character 'Omaena,' combining practicality with appealing design.
The waterproof pouch (5,000 KRW) is a case that allows users to safely store their mobile phones without letting water seep in, enabling them to enjoy water activities with peace of mind. It features a refreshing blue checkered pattern and highlights Omaena's cute, peeking expression as a design accent.
The beach bag (8,000 KRW) is a vinyl bag that makes it easy to carry swimsuits, towels, and other water activity items. Made from a semi-transparent material, it allows users to check the contents while still providing an appropriate level of personal privacy, offering both practicality and convenience.
To help citizens and tourists prepare for their summer vacations at reasonable prices, the city has reduced the price burden by offering a set of both the waterproof pouch and beach bag for 11,000 KRW.
The package can be purchased at five offline stores: Namdo Tourism Center Art Market, Kimdaejung Convention Center Tourism Souvenir Exhibition and Sales Hall, Papashop, Beodeulsoop Youth Creative Studio, and Chungjang-ro Underground Shopping Mall, as well as through the online store (Tourism Souvenir Gwangju Goods).
Gwangju City expects that this vacation package will enhance the enjoyment of traveling in Gwangju for visitors to various summer resorts, such as the eight urban water playgrounds including Citizen's Forest and Jungoe Park, water features like musical fountains, and Wonhyo Valley in Mudeungsan.
