Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will select outstanding cases of proactive administration by city officials through an online public review.

On July 30, Yongin City announced that it will conduct an online public review for the selection of "Outstanding Cases of Proactive Administration for the Second Half of 2025" from July 30 to August 13.


The review targets 12 cases that were selected through a preliminary review from among 61 cases submitted by public officials. The city will conduct an online survey (second review) through the "Sotong24 Public Review" platform, and will select eight outstanding cases in order of highest score based on the combined results.


For the eight cases selected in the second review, the "Yongin City Proactive Administration Committee" will conduct a third review to finalize the grade of each case. Public officials who promoted policies selected as outstanding cases will receive performance bonuses and incentive benefits.


The outstanding cases of proactive administration selected for the second review are classified into the following fields: Future Value, Urban Value, Human Value, Everyday Value, and Other.


In the Future Value category: "Riding Alibaba to the World! The First Successful Entry of Yongin Pavilion by a Basic Local Government," and "Launching the 'Georeoyong' Walking App, which Accumulates Walking Points and Converts Them to Local Currency."


In the Urban Value category: "The City Directly Constructs Roads and Parks Around New Development Projects!," "Breaking Away from Conventional Appraisal Methods, Reducing Compensation Costs for National and Public Land by 35% through Proactive Administration," and "Resolving Delays in Gyeongnam Honorsville Move-in and Establishing a Management System to Prevent Poor Construction in Apartment Projects."


In the Human Value category: "Providing the Nation's First Vehicle-Based Companion Service?Tailored Care Support for the Ultra-Aged Era," "Banner Maintenance Goes Smart! Smiling Citizens on the Streets! Collection Volume Increased by 50 Times!," and "The Beginning of Small Changes?Resolving Inconveniences for People with Disabilities and Other Priority Groups at Self-Service Gas Stations."


In the Everyday Value category: "Resolving 10 Years of Conflict at the Rowing Stadium?Finding a Win-Win Solution Through Communication and Collaboration!," and "Saving the Budget and Opening Sooner by Integrating Interior Management of Dongbaek and Bojeong General Welfare Centers" are included in the second review.


In the Other category: "Direct Communication and Problem-Solving Between the Mayor and Residents!," and "Didn't Use the Structure? Ensuring Safety and Saving 1.8 Billion Won for the City and 2.1 Billion Won for the Private Sector!"


A city official stated, "All city officials will strive to implement customized administration that citizens can feel and that enhances the value of the city."
