Experience-Based Market 'Jeonpo Crew with Lotte Department Store' Launches for Vacation Season, Linking with Jeonpo Hot Places
Popular Workshops, Dessert Brands, and Pop-Up Classes Inspired by Jeonpo's Unique Vibe Gather to Captivate Generation Z
A Wide Array of Popular Character Merchandise, Photo Zones, Unique Experience Zones... Vacance Food Festival Also Held
Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch is celebrating its 30th anniversary by launching its second large-scale themed event for the summer vacation season, titled "Jeonpo Crew with Lotte Department Store."
Following the successful completion of the first phase event, "History of Busan," in April, which highlighted the history of the Busan Main Branch, this August the store has organized a unique experiential market focused on customer engagement content to further enhance the summer atmosphere.
This event is characterized by bringing the vibe and trends of Jeonpo Cafe Street, one of Busan's hottest spots, into the department store. A wide array of content favored by the MZ generation, such as emotional select shops, dessert brands, and hobby studios, will be gathered to create a festive space where visitors can enjoy both shopping and hands-on experiences.
The event will run from August 1 to August 7, taking place at the special exhibition hall on the basement first floor and the main entrance plaza on the first floor of the Busan Main Branch.
Going beyond simple sales, this event is organized as a "festival-style theme zone," featuring beloved local shops such as the plant living shop "Paper Garden," yogurt ice cream brand "Zero Factory," the stylish vintage shop "Nucellec," the charming Japanese confectionery "Kkokkaja," and the select shop "Mabel Mignon."
At the first floor plaza, there will also be a "Jeonpo Crew with Hobby Shop One-Day Class Festival" for families. Popular workshops hosted by eight artists will offer a variety of hands-on classes, including T-shirt decorating, wool keyring making, and ceramic hand-painting.
From August 8, the basement first floor signature pop-up zone will feature collaborative content with popular SNS brands. Highlights include "Scrub Daddy" character merchandise and a photo zone, as well as the "Rom& Pink Office" cosmetic DIY experience zone. These unique spaces, infused with the vibe of Seongsu-dong, are expected to attract young visitors.
Additionally, a pop-up zone commemorating the 40th anniversary of the opening of Busan Transportation Corporation will be operated until August 17. The exhibition will include subway merchandise, a photo zone, and a message wall to strengthen community ties with local residents.
For food lovers, the "Vacance Food Festival" will offer a diverse range of events, including a special imported beer promotion, a summer fruit fair, a barbecue meat discount event, and "Dining Week" featuring Busan's leading gourmet brands.
Kim Jungyeop, head of the marketing team at Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch, stated, "Following the first phase event in April that highlighted the history of the Busan Main Branch, we have prepared a summer-themed event in August to maximize the customer experience. By fostering mutual growth with the local commercial district, we aim to offer content closely connected to customers' daily lives and ensure that the Busan Main Branch is remembered as a beloved 30th anniversary destination."
