A total of 23 executives and employees from both organizations participated in the volunteer activity, including Min Kyungseon, President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, and Kim Hyunju, Vice President of Korea Cloud.
This volunteer activity was organized to enhance understanding of the metropolitan mobility support service for transportation-vulnerable individuals in Gyeonggi-do and to contribute to community welfare. Participants assisted with meal preparation and serving at the welfare center, and directly delivered packed lunch boxes and daily necessities to nearby households with disabled members. In addition, they donated Samgyetang kits to support healthy summers for the recipients.
The fact that executives and employees of public institutions responsible for services for transportation-vulnerable individuals visited the site and shared their care in person was met with a positive response from both welfare center staff and local residents.
Min Kyungseon, President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, stated, "It was especially meaningful to be able to connect directly with our neighbors at a local welfare facility. It was a day when we put the role of a public institution into practice at the heart of welfare, and we will continue to stand by the residents of Gyeonggi-do as an institution that fulfills its social responsibility by maintaining ongoing interest and support for people with disabilities and transportation-vulnerable individuals."
The Gyeonggi-do Metropolitan Mobility Support Center for Special Transportation is operated by Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation and provides mobility assistance for transportation-vulnerable individuals with limited mobility through the Disabled Call Taxi service.
This activity served as a collaboration that connected users with the local community and as an example of inter-institutional cooperation expanding social solidarity. Based on this experience, the corporation plans to expand volunteer activities linked to welfare facilities and broaden the foundation for social contribution participation for transportation-vulnerable individuals.
