Research Alarm stated on July 30 that Roboteez is expected to grow through the launch of new actuator models and the commercialization of autonomous robots.
Lee Seunghwan, a researcher at Research Alarm, said, "We estimate that Roboteez will achieve sales of 47.6 billion KRW and operating profit of 3.8 billion KRW this year," adding, "Sales are expected to increase by 58.7% compared to last year, and operating profit is projected to turn positive."
He continued, "This year, sales are expected to increase with the launch of the collaborative robot OpenManipulator-Y, which is equipped with the high-performance actuator Y," and "The autonomous robot division is expected to generate revenue following the successful completion of the demonstration phase and the start of commercialization."
He emphasized, "With the amendment of the Intelligent Robot Act in November 2023, the mobile robot 'Gaemi' was granted pedestrian status and is now allowed to travel on sidewalks," adding, "Gaemi is currently conducting demonstration tests and collecting autonomous driving data in various fields such as last-mile services, F&B delivery, and park patrols."
The researcher also said, "Including orders from clients such as LG and Kakao, it will be possible to sell about 200 units annually starting next year," and "Sales of 6 billion KRW could be generated from the autonomous robot division."
Additionally, he analyzed, "Roboteez and OpenAI have been collaborating in various ways for several years," and "Recently, as the interests of both companies have aligned, discussions have begun to supply AI workers to OpenAI." He added, "Roboteez is responsible for the hardware, while OpenAI handles the AI software, so together they are preparing a physical AI solution."
