On July 29, Governor Park Wansu of South Gyeongsang Province visited Sinan-myeon in Sancheong County, which suffered severe damage due to heavy rainfall, to assist with recovery efforts.
Governor Park personally picked up a shovel in Hajeong Village, clearing away waste vinyl from damaged greenhouses and soil that had flowed in due to landslides.

He also encouraged more than 170 people, including volunteers, the Women's Civil Defense Mobile Unit, and provincial support staff, who have been working tirelessly at the site for recovery.
Additionally, he listened to residents' accounts of the flood and their suggestions for preventing recurrence, promising swift restoration and practical support such as river maintenance.
Earlier, Governor Park met with soldiers from the 7th Airborne Special Forces Brigade, who had come from Iksan in North Jeolla Province to assist with recovery, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for their hard work.
Since July 25, the 7th Airborne Special Forces Brigade has been participating in the recovery efforts in Sancheong County, providing a total of 466 troops.
On this day, 80 soldiers were deployed in Yajeong Village to remove soil and organize waste materials.

Governor Park delivered bottled water and ice cream, saying, "Please prioritize safety and be sure to take appropriate breaks when the heat is intense," adding, "If there is anything needed administratively, we will provide support."
South Gyeongsang Province is closely cooperating with related agencies, military units, and volunteers for the recovery from this flood damage, and is focusing its administrative capacity on preparing prompt support measures for affected farms to ensure substantial recovery.
