Golf Enthusiast Trump Rides Bulletproof Golf Cart with Armored Glass

Bulletproof Golf Cart "Golf Force One" for the Golf Course

The bulletproof golf cart vehicle "Golf Force One," designed to protect U.S. President Donald Trump at close range, has made its debut at a golf course in Scotland. President Trump is well known for his frequent visits to golf courses.

On July 29, Yonhap News, citing English-language media outlets, reported that during President Trump's recent visit to Scotland, a black bulletproof vehicle was spotted throughout his round at his own Turnberry Golf Resort last weekend.

Fox News explained that British media have nicknamed this vehicle "Golf Force One," in reference to the U.S. presidential aircraft "Air Force One." The vehicle is a specially designed bulletproof golf cart created to protect President Trump, who is an avid golfer. This is the first time it has been publicly revealed.

When President Trump visits a golf course, security personnel escort him by driving golf carts a few holes ahead or behind to provide protection.

USA Today, quoting bulletproof vehicle experts, analyzed that "Golf Force One," which appears to have bulletproof features on its windshield and side panels, shares similar characteristics with the U.S. presidential state car "The Beast." The report also speculated that it may be a modified version of the Polaris Ranger XP, a utility task vehicle (UTV).

Meanwhile, President Trump, who is famously passionate about golf, visits the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida every weekend to play golf and also frequents golf courses in New Jersey depending on the season.

According to a website tracking President Trump's movements since his inauguration on January 20, the costs incurred from his weekly golf outings?including presidential aircraft operation, security, and accommodation expenses?have exceeded $53 million (about 72 billion won).

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) previously reported that the total golf-related expenses during President Trump's first term amounted to $151.5 million (about 205.4 billion won).
