This volunteer effort was organized by the Gijang County Saemaul Association (President Park Yongju). Around 40 volunteers participated, focusing on flood-affected areas in Saengbiryang-myeon and Danseong-myeon, where they assisted with cleaning up damaged households, moving belongings, and removing debris as part of the recovery work.

County Governor Jeong Jongbok also visited the site in person to comfort residents and took part in the flood recovery efforts. He emphasized, "This flood recovery activity was a meaningful occasion to put into practice the values of solidarity and cooperation between local governments."

Additionally, Gijang County Office employees voluntarily donated over 150 types of daily necessities, including shampoo, detergent, towels, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, and delivered them directly to affected households in Sancheong County through the volunteer group.

Governor Jeong said, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the residents of Sancheong who are experiencing difficulties due to this sudden disaster," adding, "I hope our flood recovery activities and material support will be of some help. I sincerely wish for a swift recovery so that residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
