Ubivelox Completes Registration as Credit Card Sales Agency, Secures New Revenue Model

Ubivelox announced on July 29 that its MyData service, "UPlanner," has completed registration with the Financial Supervisory Service to operate as a credit card sales agency. "UPlanner" is an automated household account book service specializing in joint management. By fully integrating customized card comparison, recommendation, and subscription linkage services into its existing data-driven consumption analysis features, it has secured a new revenue model.

A company representative stated, "Through 'UPlanner,' we are the first in Korea to provide a MyData-based joint household account book service for couples," and explained, "The cumulative number of subscribers to this service has surged from 2,000 in early 2023 to 400,000 as of now."

The representative added, "Prior to this agency business registration, we completed Koscom's verification of 'UPlanner’s' consumer-centric financial product recommendation algorithm to prevent conflicts of interest," and further stated, "Starting with credit card sales agency operations, we plan to expand our services to other financial products such as insurance and loans in the future."

Ubivelox has operated an advertising-based revenue model since December 2021, following registration of ancillary business activities with the Financial Services Commission. With approval to act as a credit card sales agent, the company can now recommend customized cards optimized for the consumption patterns of joint users, and it is also pursuing strategic partnerships with credit card companies.
