Korean Office Workers Spend Up to 10 Hours Weekly on Repetitive Tasks
Koreans Most Open to Adopting AI to Save Time
Seven out of ten office workers in Korea spend up to 10 hours per week on repetitive tasks such as administrative work, data management, and regular reporting.
According to data released by Dropbox on July 29, a survey conducted by YouGov of more than 10,000 office workers aged 18 and older in seven countries, including 600 Koreans, revealed these findings.
In Korea, 68% of respondents said they spend up to 10 hours per week on administrative and repetitive tasks. Additionally, 70% reported spending time on regular analytical tasks such as information search and management, while 66% said they spend time on report writing.
On the other hand, half of the respondents said they spend less than 5 hours per week on strategy meetings or decision-making. Regarding the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), Korean respondents were found to be the most open among the surveyed countries.
Fifty-five percent of respondents said they would adopt AI if it could save them up to 4 hours per week. This is significantly higher than the global average of 39%. Only 9% of Korean respondents said they would never use AI, compared to nearly 28% globally.
The company stated, "Korean workers are already prepared to embrace change," and emphasized, "The key is to remove unnecessary distractions and provide tools that can redefine the essence of work."
