Chosun University Hospital announced on the 29th that it received a first-grade rating with a comprehensive score of 98.8 points in the '1st Imaging Test Appropriateness Assessment' released by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.


This result significantly surpasses the national average score of 67.6 points among medical institutions, demonstrating that Chosun University Hospital possesses top-level capabilities nationwide in both patient safety management and medical quality within the imaging test sector.


This assessment was conducted on CT, MRI, and PET tests performed at all medical institutions above clinic level nationwide from July to September of last year. The evaluation was based on a total of five assessment indicators and nine monitoring indicators, including the rate of pre-examination patient assessments, efforts to reduce radiation exposure, the expertise of interpreting physicians, and the appropriateness of radiopharmaceutical administration.


Chosun University Hospital received excellent evaluations and recorded high scores in all categories, including thorough patient assessment before contrast agent use, implementation of technical measures to reduce patient radiation exposure, and prompt and accurate interpretation by radiology specialists.


Meanwhile, Chosun University Hospital has continued to achieve outstanding results in various medical service appropriateness assessments, including previously receiving a first-grade rating in pneumonia and drug benefit adequacy evaluations.
