Mokpo City Holds Second Half Affiliated Organizations Work Briefing

Mokpo City in South Jeolla Province has begun efforts to enhance cooperation with its affiliated organizations, aiming to deliver tangible results that citizens can experience and to increase accountability in the management of these institutions.

The city announced on the 29th that it recently held the '2025 Second Half Affiliated Organizations Work Briefing' at City Hall, where it shared ongoing projects of each organization and discussed practical ways to strengthen cooperation.

The briefing was attended by representatives from nine affiliated organizations and relevant city officials: Mokpo City Medical Center, Mokpo Cultural Foundation, Mokpo Talent Development Foundation, Mokpo Welfare Foundation, Mokpo International Football Center, Mokpo Seafood Distribution Center, Kim Daejung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall, Mokpo Seafood Food Support Center, and Mokpo Seafood Food Export Center.

During the briefing, each organization shared its key projects planned for the second half of the year, as well as major ongoing tasks. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on ways to collaborate for efficient, citizen-centered administration.

Cho Seokhoon, Acting Mayor of Mokpo, emphasized, "Now is a critical time for responsible management by each organization and for close cooperation among all parties. Mokpo City and its affiliated organizations must work together to create administrative outcomes that citizens can truly feel."

The city plans to actively incorporate the various opinions presented at the briefing into future municipal operations and policy design, and will continue to maintain a regular communication and cooperation system with its affiliated organizations.
