Meeting Both Security and Collaboration Needs,
Passing the Security Suitability Assessment
BNK Capital has become the first domestic capital company to introduce Microsoft (MS) 365 and Copilot on its internal network.
BNK Capital (CEO Kim Sungju) announced that on July 9, five security and collaboration modules for utilizing MS 365 and Copilot were designated as innovative financial services by the Financial Services Commission. Subsequently, on July 22, the company received a 'suitable' evaluation from the Financial Security Institute, completed the establishment of the actual usage environment, and began full-scale utilization on its internal network.
This introduction was carried out by separating security and collaboration functions in accordance with the revised procedures, receiving additional designations and security evaluations independently for each. BNK Capital successfully passed all these processes, becoming the first case to use M365 Copilot on an internal network.
The company stated that after M365 Copilot was additionally designated as an innovative financial service in January, it formed a company-wide task force (TF) and established an AI governance system as part of its preparations. In July, BNK Capital also passed both the written and on-site inspections by the Financial Security Institute, completing the final suitability assessment.
Through this introduction, BNK Capital expects to secure security reliability for its AI-based work environment and set a new standard for AI utilization methods within the financial sector.
Kim Sungju, CEO of BNK Capital, emphasized, "We will accelerate AI transformation through the expansion of AI services and digital-based work innovation," adding, "We will regard AI not just as a tool but as a colleague working alongside us, strengthening our organizational capabilities and achieving innovation to provide better services to our customers."
