Hanwha Earns Highest 'Leadership A' Grade in CDP Climate Change Response Assessment

Awarded 'Carbon Management Sector Honors' for Two Consecutive Years

Hanwha Corporation announced on July 29 that it has received the highest grade of 'Leadership A' in the 2024 climate change response assessment conducted by the global environmental management evaluation agency CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project). This represents an upgrade from last year's 'Leadership A-' rating and is the highest level among the grades awarded by CDP.

CDP is a nonprofit international organization established in the United Kingdom in 2000. It requires major companies worldwide to disclose environmental information and conducts assessments based on this data. Alongside the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), it is widely used as a global ESG evaluation indicator. CDP comprehensively assesses climate change response strategies, targets, and implementation levels, awarding eight grades including Leadership A, A-, Management B, and B-.

Previously, in April, Hanwha Corporation was selected for the 'Carbon Management Sector Honors' in the industrial sector at the '2024 CDP Korea Awards' hosted by the CDP Korea Committee, earning the honor for the second consecutive year. A Hanwha official stated, "Achieving the highest CDP grade is international recognition of the company's efforts to address climate change," and added, "We will further strengthen ESG management to realize sustainable management."
