ConnectWave, a company specializing in e-commerce, announced on July 29 that since the launch of its "Free Version" in May, the startup rate using its online shopping mall creation platform, MakeShop, has increased by more than 2.5 times.
The company analyzed that the increase in startup rate was influenced by the launch of the "Free Version" on top of MakeShop's stable system foundation.
The "MakeShop Free (make#Free) Version" service is part of a mutual growth strategy with business owners, with NICE Payments, a company specializing in electronic payment gateway (PG) services, participating as a partner. Sellers are offered a 0% NICE Pay PG commission benefit for sales up to 10 million KRW.
Additionally, MakeShop provides free support for various services, including: MakeShop monthly usage fees, all PG registration fees, simple payment registration fees, over 400 design skins, mobile micropayment registration fees, additional services (such as bulletin boards, power reviews, image hosting), one-on-one assignment of professional consultants, and basic shopping mall setup, actively assisting sellers in their growth.
Over the past 25 years, the MakeShop Seller Commerce Division has built trust and is recognized as an industry-leading platform, with an annual transaction volume of 10 trillion KRW. It provides a one-stop service for various payment methods, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), operational agency services, and a wide range of marketing solutions.
Since the second half of last year, MakeShop has supported a private cloud system equipped with a Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) solution, ensuring stable operation even when traffic surges.
A MakeShop representative stated, "The launch of the Free Version, intended to support sellers during challenging economic times, has led to a sharp increase in the startup rate. As many sellers have achieved success through MakeShop, we will do our utmost to support the growth of sellers based on the success know-how we have accumulated over the years."
