Recently, Ourhome, a group catering company that became part of Hanwha Group, celebrated its 100th recipient of the 'Hanwha Childcare Support Grant.' Since this year, it has been implemented across 14 affiliates in the group's distribution services and machinery sectors.

According to Hanwha Galleria on July 29, Won Sora, a manager at Ourhome, received the grant last month following the birth of her second child. Won said, "It was reassuring to feel that the company was supporting me during an important moment in my life, not just offering a simple benefit," and added, "The Childcare Support Grant not only provided financial help but also significantly eased the psychological burden that comes with the birth of a child."

According to the company, as of this month, a total of 114 households have received the Hanwha Childcare Support Grant. Specifically, in the distribution services sector of Hanwha Group, 77 employees have benefited from the grant as of this month. By affiliate, the breakdown is as follows: Hanwha Galleria, 17 employees; Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, 26; Ourhome, 16; Hanwha Foodtech, 10; and Aqua Planet, 8. For multiple births such as twins, the grant is provided in proportion to the number of newborns. Kim Geonmyeong, a deputy manager at Hanwha Galleria who had twins in April, received 20 million won at once.

The grant was mostly used for childcare expenses. The largest portion was spent on baby products (31%), followed by living expenses (23%), postpartum care and recovery (24%), and hospital check-up costs (13%). In a recent survey of employees who received the grant, 96% of respondents said the support was a practical help in balancing work and family life. Additionally, 86% responded that the Childcare Support Grant had a positive impact on their decision to consider having more children.

A Hanwha Galleria representative stated, "Improving the childcare environment and enhancing employees' quality of life will lead to higher work efficiency and ultimately create a virtuous cycle of greater achievements. We will continue to pursue various employee support projects to contribute not only to the company but also to the development of society."
