On July 29, Siheung City announced that, due to a series of complaints from residents regarding noise caused by speeding delivery motorcycles and late-night street racing, it will conduct a joint intensive crackdown with relevant agencies such as the Siheung Police Station and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority until September.

The crackdown will target illegal modifications, including tampering with mufflers on delivery motorcycles and nighttime street racing groups. The enforcement will focus on areas with frequent complaints and densely populated apartment complexes.

If motorcycles are found to exceed noise standards or have illegally modified mufflers or horns, the authorities will impose fines of up to 1 million won under the Noise and Vibration Control Act and may also pursue criminal charges under the Automobile Management Act.

Choi Yoonjung, head of Siheung City's Environmental Policy Division, stated, "If complaints are not resolved, we will extend the enforcement period to thoroughly crack down on noise violations," and added, "We ask for active cooperation to eradicate illegal motorcycle operations."
