Gijang County Officials Pursue Class 1 Drone License to Strengthen Smart Administration Capabilities

Gijang County conducted a 'Class 1 Drone License Commissioned Training' at a specialized educational institution designated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to strengthen the smart administration capabilities of its public officials.

This training, in which eight county employees participated, consisted of a total of 60 hours: 20 hours of theory, 20 hours of simulated flight, and 20 hours of practical flight.

Under the guidance of professional instructors, participants intensively developed their precision control skills and solo flight abilities.

The training was aimed at obtaining the Class 1 drone license (Class 1 Remote Pilot Certificate for Unmanned Multicopter for ultra-light aerial vehicles). This license allows operation of drones weighing 25 kg or more, and is widely utilized in both public and private sectors for disaster response, surveying, aerial photography, and agricultural pest control.

County Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "The training of specialized drone personnel has greatly enhanced our safe operation capabilities," and added, "We will lead qualitative growth in both smart administration and the development of local industries."
