The agreement, signed the previous day at the KORATE Tower, is a strategic measure aimed at minimizing investment risk and maximizing collaborative synergy by combining the specialized expertise of both companies. In particular, the two firms plan to seek investment opportunities through close cooperation in key areas such as real estate development and financial procurement.
Under the agreement, Hanyang Securities will be responsible for financial advisory services and the design of funding structures throughout the projects. By collaborating with Korea Land & Trust, the real estate trust company with the longest track record in the industry, Hanyang Securities plans to handle fundraising through a variety of financial instruments, including bonds, commercial papers (CP), and private placement bonds.
Additionally, the two companies have agreed to cooperate in several areas, including: joint identification and information sharing regarding investment and development targets; formulation of joint investment and funding plans; and marketability reviews and business planning.
Kim Hocheol, Head of the SF Business Division at Hanyang Securities, stated, "This agreement expands our partnership beyond traditional real estate business to encompass company-wide cooperation in funding and investment. Through this, both companies will be able to collaborate more closely and generate synergy, presenting a new model in the real estate finance market."
After being acquired by KCGI in June, Hanyang Securities has been accelerating growth across all business divisions under its new major shareholder structure. In the first half of this year, the real estate project financing (PF) division achieved both an increase in new deals and higher profits. The company is also maintaining stable performance in other core business areas, including bonds, investment banking (IB), and trading.
