The international relief and development NGO Hope Friend Gyea Daechaek (President Choi Changnam) announced on the 28th that, together with Korea Airports Corporation, it held the launching ceremonies for the university student talent donation study room program "Learn-way School Regional Study Room" in Seoul and Muan on the 23rd and 25th, respectively.

The "Learn-way School Regional Study Room" program provides learning opportunities to youth living in areas near airports, such as Gangseo-gu and Yangcheon-gu in Seoul, and Mokpo and Muan in Jeollanam-do, and aims to help bridge the educational gap between regions. In particular, based on Korea Airports Corporation's social responsibility for noise-affected areas, this program serves as a key channel for social integration and regional coexistence.

Previously, from 2017 to 2024, Gyea Daechaek collaborated with Korea Airports Corporation to operate the nighttime care program "Portiya(夜) Nolja" for children from underprivileged backgrounds, continuing ongoing cooperation within the local community. Through the "Learn-way School" program, the two organizations plan to broaden educational opportunities for youth, foster interest and motivation for learning, and enhance students' self-esteem.

The program involves a total of 35 university student mentors who participate as volunteers. The mentors provide mathematics and English lessons, as well as small-group reading mentoring activities for middle school students in each region, offering both comprehensive academic guidance and emotional support. Through this program, Gyea Daechaek aims to provide practical learning support to local youth, while also giving university students the opportunity to practice good deeds and contribute to the balanced development of the local community.

Park Chanwook, Head of ESG Sharing Division at Hope Friend Gyea Daechaek, stated, "This 'Learn-way School' program goes beyond simply providing a learning space. It will be an important opportunity for mentors and mentees to inspire each other and grow together both psychologically and emotionally," adding, "We will continue to implement systematic and sustainable support projects so that the youth, who are the leaders of the future, can dream bigger and prepare for a better future."
