Recently, the corporation established an AI Experience Zone within the company and introduced the latest AI tools, enabling all employees to easily handle tasks ranging from in-depth information searches to drafting business proposals.

The establishment of this in-house AI Experience Zone goes beyond simply adopting new technology; it reflects the organizational goal of "activating data-driven administration." As a result, employee interest and engagement have been exceptionally high.

Among employees, there is growing feedback such as, "By utilizing AI, we have reduced our working hours and can now focus on more strategic and high value-added tasks," and, "Once you try it, it's hard to go back to the old ways."

Korea National Oil Corporation has already applied AI in various business areas, such as analyzing geological data through machine learning and using AI-powered CCTV to protect oil storage bases. Based on these efforts, the corporation received an excellent rating in last year's data-driven administration evaluation organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. This year, it achieved a step up to Level 3 in the government-wide data analysis and utilization competency assessment for public institutions.

In addition, the corporation is actively working to spread an AI culture by conducting various in-house training programs to enhance all employees' AI capabilities and by holding internal data analysis competitions to share practical examples of AI application.

President Kim Dongseub stated, "Change is essential for a public enterprise to meet the expectations of the public," and added, "Korea National Oil Corporation will not only change the way we work with AI but also transform our corporate structure to prepare for the future."
