Plaques of Appreciation Presented to LG Electronics Contributors to Industry-Academia Cooperation

Pusan National University (President Choi Jaewon) presented a plaque of appreciation to contributors from LG Electronics for their efforts in industry-academia cooperation, reaffirming the university's commitment to strengthening sustainable collaboration between academia and industry.
On July 24, Pusan National University held the "Pusan National University·LG Electronics Industry-Academia Cooperation Appreciation Plaque Award Ceremony" at the Mechanical Engineering Building.

This award ceremony was organized to recognize those who contributed to the successful establishment of sustainable industry-academia cooperation and talent development models, which were jointly planned and operated by the two institutions.
The event was attended by President Choi Jaewon, Vice President for External Affairs and Strategy Park Sanghoo, and other officials from Pusan National University involved in industry-academia cooperation. Key figures from LG Electronics, including Oh Segi, Head of the ES Research Lab, and Lee Hyunwook, Head of the HS Research Center, were also present.
The ceremony began with a tour of the Department of Mechanical Engineering research labs, followed by an industry-academia leadership exchange, a progress report on cooperation, and the presentation of appreciation plaques. During the report session, major achievements were highlighted, such as job-linked degree programs, job-specific programs for LG Electronics, graduate school courses for LG Electronics employees, short-term training programs reflecting the latest technologies, the operation of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Committee, and research groups by business division.
President Choi Jaewon stated, "We will strengthen our strategic partnership with LG Electronics to advance joint research and development and talent development programs, as well as expand industry-tailored curricula," adding, "We will continue to promote exemplary models of industry-academia cooperation that contribute to the development of regional and national industries."
