Gwangju Bank announced on July 28 that it recently held its 2025 second-half management strategy meeting at the Jeongeup Aureum Campus.


This meeting was organized to review the achievements of the first half of the year and to specify the management direction for the second half. The event included presentations of key business plans and an awards ceremony for branches and employees with outstanding performance.


In addition, to strengthen sales capabilities for guaranteed loans, Choi Sunghyun, Senior Deputy General Manager of the Honam Regional Headquarters at Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, was invited to give a special lecture. Ryu Jaeun, Managing Attorney at Law Firm Ascendant Yulbon, was also invited to deliver a special lecture on the topic of "Negotiation Strategies to Draw a YES from the Opponent." Through these lectures, practical information helpful for field operations was provided, enhancing employees' understanding.


For the second half of the year, Gwangju Bank presented the following management directions: balanced growth in KRW-denominated loans, efficient KRW funding, stabilization of asset soundness, and solid internal growth through proactive future response.


The main detailed strategies to achieve these goals include: corporate loan rebalancing for strategic asset allocation, improving profitability by increasing core deposits, maintaining a constant asset soundness management system, strengthening the competitiveness of GwangjuWaBank, and expanding specialized channels for foreigners and wealth management (WM).


Ko Byungil, CEO of Gwangju Bank, emphasized, "We must respond swiftly to turbulent external changes such as politics, real estate, and financial policies, and prepare for Gwangju Bank to take another leap forward by strengthening our business foundation focused on strategic asset management and qualitative growth."
