Jeongeupcheon Children's Soccer Field and Surrounding Areas
Performances by No Brain, Lil Boi, Woody Gochild, and More
Jeongeup City, North Jeolla Province, will host the '2025 Jeongeup Mulbit Festival' from August 8 to 10 at the Jeongeupcheon Children's Soccer Field and surrounding areas.
According to the city on July 28, this year marks the third edition of the festival, which is organized around the keywords 'summer', 'youth', and 'hip-hop'. The main stage will feature a lineup centered on explosive EDM performances, alongside a variety of genres such as punk rock, rap, belly dance, and tap dance.
On August 8, the festival will kick off with performances by No Brain, Korea's first-generation punk rock band, Lil Boi, a member of the hip-hop group Geeks, and Woody Gochild, known for his unique vocal tone and flow.
On the second day, August 9, the 'Youth Music Festa' will take place with local young artists, followed by a 'Street Dance Party' and a 'Zumba Dance Party' to further energize the crowd. On the final day, August 10, there will be a 'Youth Dance Festival', as well as rock performances, tap dance, and a spectacular belly dance stage.
True to its name as a water-themed festival, there will be plenty of interactive activities involving water. These include the Water Gun Battle, 'Midsummer Water.Nan.Li - Find the Golden Ball', 'Find the CoolWoman/MAN', and an ice endurance challenge, all designed to help participants beat the heat.
In front of the stage, separate pools for children and adults will be set up so that visitors can enjoy both the performances and water play at the same time. Additionally, around the maze fountain, a refreshing water pool and air bounce facilities will be available, allowing people of all ages to have fun in the water.
Safety will be a top priority. To prepare for the heat, the city will operate cooling shelters equipped with fans, air coolers, and ice water, and will have ambulances on standby at the site to respond to heat-related illnesses.
Throughout the venue, a variety of snacks and draft beer will be available, and at night, laser lights and LED nightscape lighting will add to the summer night atmosphere, sparkling like fireflies.
Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, "We will host a special festival where light, water, summer, and youth come together against the beautiful and poetic backdrop of Jeongeupcheon," and added, "We will thoroughly prepare to ensure that all citizens and visitors can enjoy the festival safely and healthily, even in the midst of the heat."
