Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 28th that it recently held a friendship exchange meeting with a delegation from Shiyan City, Hubei Province, China, at the city hall situation room.

This meeting was organized to revitalize exchanges between the two cities and to seek opportunities for constructive cooperation. The meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor Kim Jeongil and relevant department heads from Yangju City, while the Shiyan City delegation included Secretary Sun Dogun of the city committee, directors of urban development and ecological environment, and a total of six representatives.
During the meeting, both sides watched promotional videos of each city together. They then shared information about the development status of both cities in areas such as economy, culture, welfare, and agriculture, and exchanged opinions on possibilities for future cooperation.
In particular, Yangju City introduced its excellent welfare policies and advanced agricultural strategies. The city also highlighted its outstanding investment environment, including the development of Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley and Eunnam General Industrial Complex, and proposed cooperation measures to attract investment from companies based in Shiyan City in the future.
Deputy Mayor Kim Jeongil stated, "Shiyan City is a cultural city with a long history and has also established a modern industrial system. Yangju City, which is emerging as a central city in northern Gyeonggi Province, shares many similarities with Shiyan City. I hope that through continued exchanges, we will achieve tangible results in our cooperation going forward."
