Let’s Run Park Busan Gyeongnam Dedicates Efforts to Flood Recovery in Sancheong After Heavy Rainfall

Korea Racing Authority Let’s Run Park Busan Gyeongnam (headed by Um Youngseok) recently visited the flood-damaged areas in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, which suffered extensive damage due to heavy rainfall, to provide recovery support.

Let’s Run Park Busan Gyeongnam Dedicates Efforts to Flood Recovery in Sancheong After Heavy Rainfall Let’s Run Park Busan Gyeongnam employees are visiting Chang-an Village in Sancheong County, Gyeongnam, to help restore the village hall and farms damaged by heavy rain.

From July 17 to July 19, Sancheong-gun experienced a record-breaking average rainfall of 632mm over three days, resulting in flooding of 1,326 hectares of crops and 533 locations including houses and roads. The area was subsequently declared a special disaster zone.


On July 24, more than 10 employees from Let’s Run Park Busan Gyeongnam visited Chang-an Village to assist with practical recovery efforts, including cleaning houses and greenhouses, organizing farming materials, and removing soil and debris. In particular, employees originally from Gyeongsangnam-do drew attention by voluntarily giving up their summer vacations to participate in the volunteer work.


Um Youngseok, head of the branch, said, "I would like to express my condolences to the residents who are struggling due to this sudden disaster. I hope our efforts will provide some support, and I wish for a swift recovery so that everyone can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."


Let’s Run Park Busan Gyeongnam, as a public institution, continues to provide prompt recovery support whenever natural disasters occur. This recent effort was also organized to share in the pain of the affected residents through practical, on-site assistance.
