Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province Holds '2025 Career Special Lecture'
SaeHwan Bang, Mayor of Gwangju City, held a '2025 Career Special Lecture' for about 100 local students and parents at the Gwangju Lifelong Learning Center on the 26th. Provided by Gyeonggi Gwangju City
This special lecture was organized to provide practical information on career and college admissions to prospective test-takers and parents, and to enhance understanding of the changing education system, following the college admissions fair held in June.
On this day, Namhwan Jung, Director of the Korea Career and College Admissions Research Institute and admissions officer at the Korean Council for University Education, gave a lecture on the topic of 'Strategies for Preparing for Changing Careers and College Admissions.' He explained major changes in education policies such as the high school credit system, college admissions reform plans, and career planning, and shared various information that can be practically helpful for students' career planning.
After the lecture, a Q&A session was held to address questions from students and parents, and to provide practical advice on career and college admissions, resulting in a high level of satisfaction.
A parent who attended the special lecture said, "This special lecture, which covered a wide range of meaningful topics, was very informative. It was a valuable time not only for career counseling but also for communicating and learning with other parents."
Mayor Bang Sehwan stated, "I hope this special lecture helped relieve vague anxieties about careers and college admissions and assisted in setting a clear direction. Gwangju City will continue to provide career education together with students, parents, and the local community, and will spare no effort to support students so they can proactively design their own careers."
