Through this agreement, the two cities have decided to establish a regional co-prosperity development model by cooperating and exchanging in the fields of economy, culture, arts, education, sports, and tourism; directly trading local specialty products and linking tourism resources; and sharing administrative information and policy experiences.
To commemorate the signing, Ansan donated approximately 15 million won to Tongyeong, and Tongyeong donated approximately 10.09 million won to Ansan through the Hometown Love Donation program.
Lee Minguen, Mayor of Ansan, said, "We expect that this friendship agreement will serve as a foundation for both local governments to share their strengths across all industries and achieve mutual development."
