ILS is an open innovation program centered on 'power matching', which includes global startup pitching and exhibitions, reverse pitching by large corporations, and business meetings. Last year, approximately 777 startups from around the world and 133 Japanese large corporations and venture capital (VC) firms participated, resulting in more than 3,500 business meetings.

The association plans to recommend member companies and preliminary startup package companies preparing to enter the Japanese market in the following fields for this ILS2025: chemistry, advanced materials, semiconductors, batteries, digital health, renewable energy, decarbonization, manufacturing, wearables, sports, and mobility. Selected recommended companies will be given opportunities for one-on-one private meetings with Japanese large corporations and VCs through pre-cross matching, participation in exhibition booths, and pitching presentations on stage.

To apply for participation, applicants must download the application form from the association's website and submit it via email by August 14.

An association official stated, "By participating in the ILS, companies can explore collaboration opportunities with Japanese large corporations and establish a practical foothold for entering the Japanese market."
